Snapshots Quilt-Along Mini Quilt Block 3

The line from Alice in Wonderland, “I’m late! I’m late,” is running through my head, I feel much like the March Hare scurrying to finish photographs and measurements so you hopefully can have the afternoon to stitch your own version of this mini block. I’m so in love with this quilt. Small or big. The Fat Quarter Shop outdid itself on this quilt. You’ll get tired of hearing me gush over it each month!

In keeping with the Alice in Wonderland theme running through my head, it seemed only fitting to brew a cup of tea to join my sweet kettle for our own little tea party!

And here are your measurements for this month! Enjoy!

  1. Thanks so much for the mini versions! Having a wonderful time stitching both sizes out! Math is not my strong suit so much appreciated!

  2. Just discovered your site and the mini version of Snapshots. I finished my third block, pinned it to the wall, stood back, and said,”These are beautiful, but so big. I wish there was mini version.” Thank you!!!!

  3. I apologize if this comment prints twice, but it didn’t appear, and I do want to communicate to you that I love the mini! After I completed my third block, pinned it to the wall, and stepped back to admire them, I was struck with the thought that they we/are so much bigger than I imagined, and wish for a mini version! Thank you!

  4. I just love your mini blocks of the quilt along! Thank you so much for the instructions! I’ve been keeping up with the regular blocks and I’m hoping to start on the mini ones too.

    1. Thank you, Lisa! Get busy on those minis!! They go together so quickly. At least next month, make them together. It’s easier, I think. I cut all the full size block, then all the mini block pieces and put them on my design board. Once I go to the sewing machine, I sew the blocks and rows simultaneously, so I end with two finished blocks. Try it in April!

  5. Gush away I couldn’t agree more :0)
Thanks so much for the minis…..
haven’t made my first one yet but I’m off to
do that now :0) And yes next month I will try making them both
    at the same time.
    Happy Sewing!
